How RIPPER Designs Are Born: From Concept to Drop
Every RIPPER design goes through a genuine creative process before it ever reaches a product page. Here is how an idea becomes a finished drop.
Step 1: Finding the Narrative
Every design starts with a concept worth telling — whether that is dark symbolism, heritage sporting aesthetics, or a cultural tribute. The story comes before the visuals.
Step 2: Visual Development
Once the narrative is set, the graphic itself takes shape — balancing artistic intent with what will actually translate well onto heavyweight cotton at scale.
Step 3: Matching Fabric to Concept
Design and fabric are chosen together, not separately — an intense acid wash statement piece calls for different fabric treatment than a refined, quiet-luxury Oxford shirt.
Step 4: Fit and Silhouette
Every design is paired with the silhouette that best serves it — oversized and boxy for bold statement pieces, more tailored for refined pieces like THE GAZE. Shop THE GAZE here.
Step 5: Sampling and Quality Testing
Before a design goes live, it is tested for print accuracy and fabric performance to ensure it meets RIPPER's fabric-first standard.
Step 6: The Drop
Only once a design has cleared every stage does it become part of the official RIPPER catalog.
